Every night can’t be date night. It would be way too expensive. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a good home cooked meal (or at least a good, inexpensive pizza number to call) and watch a movie to spark a romantic mood. Once you are comfortable bringing home your free dating site date, you might consider this movie at home date. Many couples go out to movies so you might have seen a good amount of the recent blockbusters so like most couples you might do some movie exploring. The bad part about this is that you never know when you are going to pick out a seemingly good movie but it turns out to be a romantic mood killer. Here is a list of the top ten movies that are sure to wreck the mood:
- How The West Was Won with Henry Hathaway, John Ford and George Marshall. Talk about a snoozefest. Unless cowboys turn you on, steer clear of this flick.
- Swingersstarring Doug Liman. At least this movie is in color and that’s about all it has going for it.
- Sex: The Annabel Chong Story - Even though you might think that a movie about a porn star would be sexy, this movie is anything but that.
- Audition – Even though this movie is rather good, it is not really an appropriate date movie especially if you don’t know each other well, considering its about a women serial killer who slices and dices her male callers.
- Irreversible – If you don’t like subtitles then the mood is already gone regardless that this movie is in the language of love. There is a rape scene within the first ten minutes so it is most likely a complete mood killer.
- Shoah – This movie is from 1985 and it is about the Holocaust. Besides the heavy content matter, this movie is 10 hours long.
- Nil By Mouth - this movie features all of the great date mood killers like substance abuse, domestic violence and a whole lot of depression.
- The Death of Mr. Lazarescu – This newer flick depicts the tale of an elderly man dying of cancer and the movie just goes downhill from there. There is no uplifting part anywhere.
- Baise Moi – More subtitles to avoid. Oh yeah, it’s about two prostitutes who roam the streets on a killing spree.
- Vera Drake - This 2004 movie is about backstreet abortion and that’s about all one needs to know that this movie will completely destroy the mood.
If you are looking for a little bit of action on your date tonight, make sure you don’t experiment with these selected movies.
